Ok, so today in English, we had to read a poem by Applegate, then we had to use her structure to create one of our own. Now, I really suck at English, always have, so no laughing at my lame attempt.
'Untitled'
Don't call it a flower; You saw a lonely rose in a garden of thorns.
Don't say that it's wilted; Say that it has let the last of it's beauty gently float to the sodden ground.
Don't tell me it's black; For, as the Winter has come and the winds turn cold, it's vibrant blood red has faded.
Don't say that it has lost it's fragrance; Say that as the dropped withered petals lose their last ounce of life, the dry, brittle remains will leave the sweetest of smells.
You took this rose forgranted, no love, with no cherish. No it is gone forever, for now it has perished.
I's deeply appreciate any comments/constructive crititism.
