HOLY SHIT that concert was awesome!! It was Senses Fail, Emanual, A Change of Pace, and I Hate Kate. Me and my brother got outside the New Oasis at about 5:00... the doors opened at about 6:45. When we got there, about 20 people were in front of us, and by the time we went inside, there were about 40... so that sucked. But I was still able to get really close to the stage. During the beginning, I was about 2nd row, and there were really tall people in front of me. They moved over a little bit, I was able to get a few pictures of IHK. They were awesome, except the keyboardist, he kinda bugged me a little bit. He took out his cigarrettes, and hit a key on the board so that it played it for him automatically... and he just stood there smoking. So that kinds pissed me off. But oh well, they were still really good.
Then after them, I got closer to the stage. FRONT ROW BITCHES! ACOP came on after that, I loved them. I took a lot of pictures, who knows how they came out though. The bassist was wearing a shirt that said "The Vibrators" lmao! I don't know if it's a band or what but I thought it was hilarious. They really got into the performance, they talked to the crowd a lot which is always fun.
After that I thought it was going to be Senses Fail, but Emanual came on. They were eh, pretty good. But nothing to get overly excited about. But I didn't really get into them because the crowd was getting more rough and I was tired, I kinda wanted to save my energy for Senses Fail.
Then when they were done, they took forever setting up for SF. I kept getting pushed back in the crowd, so I gave my friend who was there with me, Michelle, my camera so she could take pictures for me. It really pissed me off though, cause she brought this chick Alex and Michelle pushed me back to make room for her, that's why I got back so far. But then Senses Fail came on, at that point I could barely hear, just the bass and everything. Plus I only have their first cd, so I couldn't really get into the music or sing along, you know? So when they were almost done playing, I could barely breathe, the tall people were right in front of me. And when there were about 3 songs left for them to play, people kept getting pulled over the barrier. I got kicked in the head about 3 times within 20 seconds, then one last person, they fucking dropped him on me!! I blacked out for a few seconds, so I decided I needed to get out. But I didn't want to get pulled over the barrier and kick someone else in the head so I just tried to get out sideways. Didn't work so well.....
But yeah, I went over to the merch booth and I saw the singer from ACOP. I asked him if he would sign my ticket, and he did, but then he gave it to this other guy, I thought he got confused or something and gave the ticket back to someone else. So I said "Uuhh.. that's mine" and he kinda laughed and said "He's in the band too... he's our guitarist? He'll sign it for you too" lmao, that was my blonde moment for the night. So the two guys who signed it were Torry, the lead singer, and Adam, the guitarist. And they were so nice, I decided to buy their cd. It was only $10, and it's really good.
So then I was walking around trying to find Michelle, cause she still had my camera. And I pretty much run into this guy, who turned out to be Johnny, the bass player!! Dude... wow... that kid is gifted in the looks department. So he signed my ticket and everything, then he talked to me for a while. He was really nice, he was the only one who asked me what my name was and everything.
But then they started vacating the place so we had to leave, which was sad. I had so much fun though, it was awesome!!
